What is Energy Healing?

As human beings, we are so much more than just our thoughts, emotions, and known history.  We are a vital part of an incredible multi-dimensional energy matrix that runs through the whole cosmos.  These many dimensions of who we are, or bodies, are always interacting with each other within us and around us, each energy body impacting what is happening in our other bodies.  In modern society, many of us are only taught to recognize the bodies that can be observed in the time and space realm (our physical, mental, and emotional bodies), so when we are experiencing challenges that is where we look to address the issue.  However, energy healers and spiritual masters across the ages have known, and modern day quantum field science, is calling us to approach our experience with both old and new mindsets about what is real and who we are.

Energy healing accesses and works with the non-physical aspects of our being, elements of who we are that impact so much of our lives, thoughts, and feelings.  When we seek to change our thoughts, heal traumas, change our behaviors, etc. without attending to the higher dimensional reality of our energy bodies, the transformations we long for are slow, require a lot of effort and work (sometimes too much!), and can often lead us to giving up.  This is because negative energies from many sources in our past get lodged in our system, creating blocks that no matter how much other work we seek to do, prevent us from completely being free of them.  Unless these energies are cleared, the problems and patterns they create will only continue to reappear and repeat.  These stuck patterns may appear as persistent physical ailments, emotional dysregulation, limited beliefs, etc. They may be very subtle and annoying, or they may be debilitating.  Regardless of how they show up for us or how severe we experience them, our inability to be free of them leaves us feeling victimized, disempowered, and unsatisfied in our lives.

These energy blocks are the result of several sources:

  • Childhood: emotional wounds, traumas, unmet needs
  • Relationships: energy cords created by others that leach persistently leach our vitality
  • Social constructs: beliefs absorbed from our society/family in order to survive and belong
  • Authentic Self Repression: our inherent gifts and sensitivities to unseen energies shut down within us
  • Lineage: unresolved energies passed into us through our ancestral blood line
  • Past Lives: Experiences of trauma that were not resolved in previous lifetimes carried forward into our current experience

What will you experience in an Energy Healing session?

When you receive an Energy Healing, the process always starts with crafting and sharing your intention for what it is you would like to experience.  Then, you settle into a relaxed position for your body, close your eyes, and do some simple breathing to get started.  You may be asked to focus on your intention, or to visualize a place, or simply to breathe gently and regularly. While the Energy Healing work is being done, I am working with your energy bodies in alignment with your intention to clear out blockages and cut energy cords that have been getting in your way. While this is taking place, you may experience visions of colors, shapes, numbers, memories, entire scenes, or emotions may wave through you.  Many people also just feel calmed and relaxed with nothing else that they are aware of.  Some even fall asleep.  Regardless of your aware experience during the process, because the healing is operating on a level beyond your mind, you can trust that it is effective and helpful.

Afterward, people begin to notice both subtle and dramatic shifts in their lives.  You are asked to look for these, to celebrate them and share them, and to be aware that they are the direct result of having certain blocked energies removed from your system. For example, aspects of their lives where they were confused previously, they now experience clarity and energy to proceed.  Perhaps they experience a new kind of lightness where previously there was heaviness.  Some people can experience a kind of purging which though it is uncomfortable to go through it, is relatively short lived (days instead of years!), and once completed allows them to be free of what they have been burdened with their whole lives.

What does Energy Activation mean?

Energy Activation can mean many things for different people. Fundamentally, however, it is the experience of breaking through old, incongruent blockages and stuck patterns in order that your authentic Self can finally break through and take charge of your life. Many people have lived the majority of their lives thinking “If only if…”, or “Someday, when I can just…”, and their thoughts and dreams of what they could be or could do with their lives always seems to get pushed to the back burner or down the road.

When are true self gets energetically activated, it creates a deep awakening of motivation and confidence to move in the direction of expressing ourselves deeply and authentically across the the many contexts of our lives. We no longer feel as compelled to conform to societal standards, we find deeper connection to our intuitive wisdom and direction, and we are able to express ourselves with more confidence and less fear.

What is Spiritual Integration?

We have had profound and moving experiences in our life: feeling in love, deep relief, a sense of beauty that washes over us, the birth of a child, out of body visions, psychedelic journeys, etc. Regardless of what they were or how we labeled them at the time, these profound experiences create an energetic shift within us and in the moment they can be very dramatic and meaningful.  In the moment, they feel very real, the things we think and feel as we are going through them awakens some deep knowing or sensing that we didn’t have before.  This can be true of both wonderful experiences as well as very intense, negative experiences.

And after some time, when the intensity has worn off, we return to our daily routines and lives, we don’t always know how to integrate what we just experienced into our body, mind, or habits.  This is when we often return to old ways of processing, and the potential for long term transformation from what we experienced can be lost.  Much of this can be true for energy healing as well; energy shifts can happen in an instant, but integrating those shifts and embodying them in our daily routines and mindsets takes time and discipline.

This is when the work of spiritual integration and alchemy takes place. Because long standing energy blockages have a way of shaping our thoughts, beliefs, values, and identities, when that negative energy has been cleared, it is vital that we also upgrade our day to day experience in order to match. In order to land the energy shifts as permanent life experience, we are required to let go of many now outdated pieces that in many cases we have been very attached to maintaining.

Many of us have become attached to a version of who we are that was congruent with the old, negative energy blockages.  It is valuable therefore to be guided through the process of letting those elements go, and recreating them in alignment with the new energy we have access to.  It is in this phase of the conscious healing and growth work that we experience our external life changing to match the new inner world of energy we have just stepped into.

What is Spiritual Alchemy?

In the course of our healing, we will identify many, many thoughts, feelings, patterns, and attachments that no longer serve our fullest life and authentic expression of who we are.  It is only natural that we want to discard these parts of ourselves because we believe they have been weighing us down or blocking us from truly living.  Just trying to release them or worse, destroy them, however, leads us to unknowingly reject whole parts of our past, of who we have been, and can often invalidate what we have been through and how it is we have survived our challenges, wounding, and traumas.

It is of far greater value to our growth and becoming therefore, when we seek to alchemize these parts of our old selves into our new self.  This is where we acknowledge these parts and celebrate the learnings and skills that were developed because of these parts, not in spite of them.  Instead of rejecting these parts (which are really facets of our whole being anyway!), we welcome them back–not to be in charge as perhaps they once were–but to include them with our fully activated Self now securely rooted in our authenticity and power.
